Lang Lang is elected to be the Ambassador to Milan World Expos 2015 for the second time

Oct.20th, Milan World Expos 2015 held the launching ceremony in the Wangfujing walking street, Beijing. The government representative, CEO Giuseppe Sala announced at the event that Lang Lang, the international piano star, the Messenger of Peace of the United Nations, is taking up the post of the Ambassador to Milan World Expos 2015. Lang Lang is the only pianist with this title, and what is worth-mentioning is that this is the second time that he takes on the ambassadorship after last World Expo in Shanghai 2010.  


The ceremony had live broadcasted that Lang Lang send wishes to the  Milan World Expos 2015 through the camera, calling people work together for the food safety and healthy life for the whole world, and welcome people from the world coming to Milan to enjoy local good food.


For raising the attention to Milan World Expos 2015 from China, attracting Chinese tourists to go to Italy, the World Expo will have roadshows in eight cities in China, including Beijing, Changsha, Fuzhou, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Shanghai, Zhengzhou, and Jinan. These roadshows will be placed at outdoor locations, or indoor locations that are movable with high-visibility, so that the tourists and pedestrians are able to see the inside events clearly. The roadshows will also hold thematic activities with different local characters.


The 2015 World Expos will be held from May 1st to October 31st in Milan, Italy, with the subject of "Nourish the energy sources of the earth and lives". On the opening day, Lang Lang will go to Milan for a series of important cultural communication events. The Milan World Expos will hold the discussions about sustainable-development issues of the insurance of food production and food safety under the deterioration of world environment. For now, there are 132 countries and international organizations confirmed to participate the exhibition, the number of countries and international organizations is estimated to reach 150, and more than 20 million of tourists are expected to come to the World Expo.
